The architecture:

With several monuments listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, Lisbon sheltered more than 20 century of history.
For example, the Belem district with the Hieronymites monastery from the 16th century, the Commercial Place which belongs to the 18th century, or the famous tram 28 which is still working. It is a real institution that roams the streets of the city.

However, I was able to notice the difference in wealth between the French capital and the Portuguese one. Renovated buildings can be next to abandoned buildings, in ruins, in the city center. Whether we are in the tourist areas or not, the scene is happening all over the city.
This shows that the budget is not sufficient to rebuild or renovate housing in Lisbon. Here luxury rubs shoulders with poverty on a daily basis.

Fado:

You must have heard of fado, this traditional music is typically Portuguese. It reflects the cultural mix of Lisbon. You will be able to hear it during your walks in the city. There are a lot of addresses where you can enjoy this music while tasting a Lisbon dish .
Gastronomy :

What would Lisbon be without its culinary specialties ? Lisbon can offer you a wide choice of fish, including cod,
" Bacalhau " in all its variations. But do not limit yourself to this fish, take the opportunity to taste grilled sardines along the Tagus.

If you are wandering around the Belem district, you should stop at the specialty pastry shop of Pastéis de Belèm , well known as Pastel de Nata. It is a small pastry flan crunchy on the outside and melting on the inside.
To be enjoyed hot if possible.
